Yoga for Arthritis - Using the tools of yoga to improve the health and well being of the arthritis community

The tools of yoga, as they have evolved over thousands of years, are uniquely suited to help address the needs and concerns of people living with arthritis.  This has been supported in modern scientific research that shows benefits to physical and psychological health for arthritis patients participating in a regular yoga practice.
 
However, yoga is only beneficial for arthritis when it is executed safely and with specific attention to the individual and their disease state.  
 
Yoga for Arthritis teacher intensives help educate existing yoga teachers about important considerations for working safely with this population.  Yoga for Arthritis classes are based on research and include poses, modifications, and mindfulness practices that have been associated with positive outcomes.
